Wylands Farm Carp Session: 17lb Common in the Heat. Harry's Catch Report
Updated: Aug 27

Summer carp fishing at its best.
Harry headed out to Wylands Farm on a hot summer's day and landed a stunning 17lb common carp. Proof that even in the heat, the carp are feeding if you get your approach right.
The Session
Wylands Farm, Kent. Midday session in warm conditions. The kind of day most anglers would write off: bright sun, high pressure, fish baked into the margins.
Harry thought differently.
The Setup
Harry fished a simple bottom bait presentation with a short hooklink tight to the marginal shelf. In warm water, carp hug the margins and the shade. A go-to approach when the sun is high.
The Result
A pristine 17lb common carp. Hard fighting, immaculate condition. Harry's biggest fish of the summer.
The Gear
Harry fishes with quality end tackle sourced from Fishing Tackle and Bait, one of the UK's best online fishing stores with gear for every budget.
